Raute vs Shipday: Restaurant Delivery App or a Planner for Your Own Routes
Shipday grew up in restaurants: online orders come in from the point of sale, a driver or DoorDash takes them, the customer gets a text. Raute grew up in a medical equipment business planning a day of stops across a county. Both dispatch drivers and prove delivery. Which one fits depends mostly on where your orders come from.
In one paragraph
Choose Shipday if you are a restaurant or a store taking orders through Toast, Square, ChowNow, Shopify or a similar system and you want each order dispatched as it comes in, with the option to hand it to DoorDash or Uber. Choose Raute if you plan a day of deliveries ahead, your orders arrive by email, spreadsheet or PDF, and you want the routes for every driver planned at once for a flat monthly price. At 2,000 orders a month Shipday Professional comes to about $219 by its own rates; Raute Pro is $59.99.
What it costs at your volume
| Volume | Shipday Professional | Raute |
|---|---|---|
| 300 orders a month | $49 | $24.99 (Starter) |
| 1,000 orders a month | $119 ($49 + 700 × $0.10) | $59.99 (Pro) |
| 2,000 orders a month | $219 ($49 + 1,700 × $0.10) | $59.99 (Pro) |
Checked on Shipday's pricing page on October 19, 2026, with the country set to the United States and the Delivery Company view. Shipday bills extra orders at the end of the month by usage; the totals above are our arithmetic from its published rates.
Two things about that page are worth knowing. It shows different plans in different countries, and some countries get a free plan and a $29 plan that US visitors do not see. And in the US Merchant view, the one for businesses delivering their own products, the lowest plan is Branded Elite at $99 for 300 orders and $0.20 for each one after. Shipday has unlimited drivers on its paid plans; Raute's plans cover 5, 15 or 40 drivers.
What Shipday has that Raute does not
If your deliveries are not restaurant orders
A lot of local delivery does not look like a lunch rush. A water dealer runs the same customers on a monthly cycle. A medical equipment company sends a technician to set up a bed. A florist plans tomorrow's arrangements tonight. A courier gets a spreadsheet of pickups from a client every morning. Nothing comes through a point of sale, and the job is to plan the whole day well before the first van leaves.
That is the day Raute is built around. You paste or upload the orders as they come, an email, a spreadsheet, a PDF or a photo of a printed list, and the AI order reader turns them into stops. One click splits them between your drivers with windows and shift hours in mind, puts each route in order and sends it to the driver's phone, where they collect a signature and photos at every door. If you want to see that split on your own addresses first, the free route planner does it for up to 25 stops with no account.
